It was announced today that as of April 2022 all those who are patient facing and working in CQC regulated activity will be required to have the COVID-19 vaccinations. There are suggestions that there will be exemptions for those who cannot take part in the vaccination programme on medical grounds. This includes both NHS and Private dentistry.

The Society fully support the vaccination programme, but hope this does not cause further disruptions in the provision of dental services or see further members of the dental team leave the profession. It is currently not clear if the other nations will follow.
