Sandra White OBE and Prof. Iain Chapple were awarded Queen’s honours in the 2021 list. SBDN wish to congratulate both, President Fiona Ellwood said ‘ it has been a privilege over the years to observe the incredible work of Sandra White and Prof. Chapple’. Sandra was recognised for her commitment to Dental Public Health for Public Health England and COVID19; Prof. Iain Chapple for his contribution to Oral and Dental Health. Prof. Iain Chapple of course presented at the Prof. Robert Ireland Annual lecture in 2019.
2021 has been another challenging year for the profession and it has been incredibly uplifting to see members of the dental community recognised in this way.
