On Thursday 30th November Our Patron Emma Riley and Oral Health/Gerodontology Lead Amanda McLaughlin presented an academic poster at the British Society of Gerodontology. The poster brought an excellent and longstanding piece of work together and allowed for the open discussion about the resources that have been co-desgined with the very people who will be making effective use of them. Supported by Rochdale Public Health Programme Officer, this team have taken the time to listen to the carers and the nursing teams.
Many of you will know that the Society carry the mantra of ‘work as imagined and work as done‘ and always challenge this thinking when it comes to outcomes. This is an amzing example of getting to the crux of a problem and delivering the best solution that is effective, workable and achievable AT at the grassroots of things.Obviously, if you would like more details on this work or if you would like to consider this work as a speaking opportunity, then do get in touch with the Society at admin@bdns-org-uk
