Elaine qualified in the Royal Air Force in 1982. She has been an active member of BSDHT since that time serving as a Regional Officer, Military Representative to Council, the Elected Members’ Representative to Council and as Council’s representative to the Executive Committee of the BDHA (now BSDHT), from which she was additionally co-opted onto a guideline development group for the Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). Elaine continues to teach and present on various subjects, speaking at many of the BSDHT Regional meetings.

She is the former Education and Project Manager for TePe Oral Hygiene Products Ltd where she was involved with designing and implementing educational programmes for the dental profession.
