SBDN are encouraging you to respond to the consultation in response to FtP reporting and having information in one place. It is worth noting that not everyone is familiar with what might happen and how to respond.
Secondly the GDC have pulled together the important components of indemnity to help registrants to make good decisions. Each registrant has a responsibility to have the right indemnity/insurance in place and if indemnity is provided by employers registrants should still make sure what is actually covered. Some policies simply cover clinical practice and not GDC hearings, others have an excess, and others do not include additional duties – time for you to know your stuff.
