NIPCM -National Infection Prevention and Control Manual.

National Services Scotland: This latest manual was published on the 19th September 2024, it provides IPC guidance to all those involved in care provision and is considered best practice across all health and care settings in Scotland.

The manual contains the following chapters:

  • Standard Infection Control Precautions.
  • Transmission Based Precautions.
  • Healthcare associated infection incidents, outbreaks & data exceedance.
  • Infection Control in the Built Environment and Decontamination.
