Every year the Society hosts an Annual Lecture for Prof. Ireland, who did so much for the wider dental team and applied skill-mix long before many of us qualified/graduated and contributed to core reading for dental therapists, dental hygienists, and dental nurses. Every year Prof. Ireland shares some of the memories and is full of motivational encouragement.
Guest speakers continue to raise the bar on topics that perhaps get overlooked at times, but are absolutely key to delivering safe, effective care.
