Huge congratulations to all of the award winners and runners up, with so many entries it is always hard to have to select winners and runners up.
It is wonderful to see entries from other nations, the Society never forgets our wonderful members, colleagues, followers and friends in Ireland, Scotland and Wales, or indeed our international members and colleagues. Dentistry is still in a state of flux, but what is important is that we recognise the incredible hard work and commitment that dental nurses give.
The discussion lingure on about are we private dental nurses are we NHS dental nurses, are we mixed practice dental nurses, are we locum dental nurses, agency dental nurses, armed forces dental nurses, question after question. The bottom line is, we are dental nurses no matter where we lay our hat… and we are proud to be dental nurse. Sometimes it is the little things that matter and that old saying of ‘take care of the small things and the big things will take care of themselves could never be more appropriate!
So celebrate with us today, smile a little, say thank you publicly, take an interest in your dental nurses day, help them finish up and get home on time as often as possible, say thank you at the end of the day for everything they have done because when they don’t turn up tomorrow you will wish you had.
To all those wonderful dental nurses out there and dental nurse students, we celebrate and recognise everything you do and simply would like to say a huge thank you.
