The Society are urging its members, followers and colleagues to respond to the consultation ‘Corporate Strategy 2020-2022 working with the dental team for public safety’. This is important on a number of fronts, but may well influence you ARF fee outcomes.

We will be responding as a Professional Society, perhaps messages on social media are racing ahead, be sure you read the consultation first and respond professionally to the consultation.

Whilst we respect and strongly support the recognition of dental nursing as a profession we have always maintained our position that dental nurses should not be expected to pay a professional fee which is the same as the dental hygienist or the dental therapist we are different registrable groups with different scopes of practice in terms of both risk and clinical activity, but also earning capacity with many dental nurses working very close to the minimum wage threshold.
