The GDC is embarking on a far-reaching programme of work to reform dental professional regulation, which includes the launch of Shifting the balance a better, fairer system of dental regulation: to ensure patients’ interests are firmly at the heart of what we do and regulation is fairer and more proportionate. As with our current membership, new Council members will be fundamental in steering this reform to benefit patient protection and maintain public confidence in dental services.
We’re looking for individuals with experience of supporting confidence in public services, the capacity to understand the organisational and business issues facing the GDC, and experience of providing strategic input to an organisation. We particularly welcome applications from historically underrepresented groups on the Council – such as dental care professionals.
This is a wonderful opportunity for new Council members to join the GDC in these changing and exciting times – not only to bring their expertise and experience, but to also gain new skills, such as increased aptitude, resilience and further professional fulfilment.
The closing date for applications is midday on 5 April 2017. We hope you’ll take this opportunity to inform your networks and stakeholders about our recruitment campaign.
A full information pack and details of how to apply are available on the Saxton Bampfylde website.
The GDC are also offering an information day on the 17th March
