Known to many, Jennifer Lavery was influential, along with others, in registration and the changes to dental nurse education, a particular article in which we must acknowledge Vital ” history of pcds: The rise and rise of PCDs” by Sell, C. 2005, tells you much of what you need to know.
Jennifer was a long-serving member of the Examining Board, becoming the executive secretary and then the Chief Executive from 2004 until retiring in 2008. Jennifer was in post at times of great changes, both in the period of registration coming to fruition and the introduction of the apprenticeship.
